Sequin Knits + Leather Jeans

Don’t be fooled, basic is not always a bad thing. Take today’s outfit for instance. Originally, I’d planned to shoot this look with a black fur vest but realized I’d forgotten the vest when hubbs and I reached our location.

Do I skip the shoot and just head to work or do I shoot regardless and remain authentic? I decided to shoot as planned and I’m so glad I did. While the fur vest would’ve added a little drama to this look, I improvised by substituting my hat and scarf.

The sequins on my knitwear was the perfect compliment to my rhinestone studded ankle boots. These eye catching accessories pop against the plain white turtleneck and black leather jeans. By adding some mirrored shades and a fun purse I’m anything but ordinary.

Next time you’re feeling drab add your favorite accessory and slay!

Leopard Cuffs + Leather Pants

It’s officially May and yes, I am wearing leather pants. Why? Because some days you wake up and you just wanna grab something you don’t have to iron. Not to mention my entire wardrobe is boxed and bagged in my parents basement until I move out.

So you see, leather pants are exactly what I needed after a long week and a busy weekend navigating through the city’s hustle & bustle hosting the NFL draft. These particular pants are vegan with a slightly pleated front.

The ankle length is perfect for showing off great pumps like this two tone pair. Working my way up, I decided to add my leopard lined blazer and balance it with a classic white top.

Next, I added gold accessories because I’m an eighties baby and my new favorite sunnies finish off the look. The perfect weather on the perfect day in the perfect pants, equals the best Monday ever! XO

Taupe Tunic + Chocolate Leather

It’s Friday aka the end of the work week and it’s December, aka the Friday of months. By God’s grace we’ve pushed through these previous eleven months and now have an opportunity to end this last one strong. I’m exactly two weeks into thirty-three so my new year has already begun.

I have no intention of waiting until January 1, 2017 to make any neccessary changes. Death to procrastination! Winter coats on the other hand, they give me all sorts of life honey! For today’s look I’ve pulled my brown shearling coat out of hibernation as temperatures are colder now.

This coat is the perfect outterwear for my cowl neck tunic. This type of sweater is a fall/winter staple for me, especially when paired with skinnies like this brown leather pair. I opted for flat brown ankle boots, because comfort, and completed the look with oversize accessories for a 70’s feel.

All these shades of brown look fablous in this winter sunlight, not to mention on my skin. Remember, winter weather shouldn’t cramp your style. Here’s to a great weekend loves!
