Houndstooth + Leather

How do you begin your birthday week? You do it in style, of course! No case of the Monday’s here boo, I’m feeling just fine. So fine I grabbed my favorite wrap to slay my day.

This houndstooth wrap is one size fits all and has a faux leather trim. It’s actually pretty warm, making this a great alternative from your usual outerwear. I have yet to figure out how to wear it as a skirt but when I do I’ll be sure to post my results.

I decided to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple. A crisp white turtlenck is always chic and pairs perfectly with the wrap. Black faux leather skinnies instantly add a certain edge to the entire look while the classic black stilettos add sophistication.

The heels on my shoes and my bright orange lipstick add a pop of color to the ensemble. Just the right amount of sexy and sophistication…this is gonna be a great week!

Cheetah + Leather

So this is what a true Spring feels like huh? I promise you I’ve experienced all of the seasons in the last 24 hours. We’ve gone from mild and sunny to wet and chilly repeatedly this week. To keep from totally getting sick, I’ve been wearing my trusty Zara moto jacket. It’s light enough for milder days and heavy enough for the chilly days which require a scarf. Between this and my trench, I’ll be set until Summer!

Today’s look is all about these cheetah print pants. Slim fit and ankle length, they are among the most comfortable pants I own. They are a thick cotton blend and the gold zipper detail in back adds a chic touch. I paired them with a black leather tee and gold accessories. I went with kitten heels for the office but I have a pair of stilettos in my desk in case this look inspires Bar to call an impromptu date night, lol… XO!

Moto Jacket + Ripped Denim

In the process of tossing out all of my jeans since I can no longer fit them, something told me to try on this pair of black jeans one more time. Purchased at Buffalo Exchange here in Philly, they’d never been worn and it was killing me to toss them. Much to my surprise they fit after all and thus we have today’s post.

Obviously my introduction was way more dramatic than necessary but hey, it’s my blog I do what I want. Sorting through my denim I realized that I’ve bought lots of denim over the years only to wear the same four pairs repeatedly. What a waste of money!

This time around I’ve started with a few foundational pairs in different washes and just a couple ripped pairs for fun. No need in an extensive denim collection when I spend 80% of my week in business casual. Cheers to getting rid of excess. Have a killer day loves! XO

Leather Sheath + Graphic Blazer

*Breaking News* Spring is finally here… (for real this time). Flowers are in bloom and the city is full of life. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to see consistently mild temperatures. I can finally pull out my trench coat and favorite spring dresses!

Since spring and fall are both transitional seasons, I love styling leather and suede. These versatile pieces are perfect for me since I work evenings and travel home when the warm temperatures drop at night. Trust me ladies, don’t pack your leather away just yet!

Today’s look took me all of 5 minutes to throw on which is always  a win for me. I paired this comfy leather sheath with a shear blouse and a graphic blazer to add dimension. Super chic without all the fuss! XO

Leopard + Leather

It’s Friday. Praise the Lord!

Yesterday was the end of my work week and now I’m ready to relax, recharge, and binge watch House of Cards with my fiancé all day. Last season ended with a shocker that I’m still trying to recover from! So that’s my entire agenda for the day…in addition to laundry lol.

On the fashion front, today’s look is all about sass. I have only a few leopard pieces in my wardrobe, but I decided to break pout this rarely worn dolman sweater. I turned up the volume by pairing it with brown leather stretch pants. I have to say I was feeling myself, but hey, confidence is always a good look. Cheers to the weekend everyone, XO!
