Khaki Smock Dress

Franklin Fountain is a really dope ice cream shop located in Old City Philadelphia. Once you step inside you’re reminded that this is truly an old city. Offering homemade ice cream and unique soda flavors like cantaloupe and watermelon, it’s busy year round. Tourists and residents alike love this place. I decided stop in and grab something since it was 86 degrees. This was also the perfect opportunity to wear my khaki smock dress.

I was honestly hesitant about purchasing this style at first. The colors are very muted and could actually come across as dull. The boxy shape made me worried I’d be lost in a sea of tan. However, refusing to be limited I grabbed it anyway from Buffalo Exchange. It’s an H&M piece (go figure) but it’s about 5 years old so pre-monkey.

I kept things simple with ballet flats and gold jewelry. This post has actually made me realize how little conten I shoot showcasing flat shoes. I’m in flats them 90% of the time at work. I’ll be sure to fix that moving forward.

Moto Jacket + Neutrals

TGIT loves and a hello to you! Ya girl is certified tired from working overtime all week, but I thank God in advance for the paycheck that is soon to come, lol. It’s Thursday and I’m counting down the hours until I get to curl back up in bed and watch HTGAWM to find out what Annelise has to say to the Keating four (five if you count Oliver). Until then I figure I’d get back to business and share today’s look with you all.

My favorite wrap skirt is back and this time I’ve paired it with some cool grays and taupes. In my opinion gray is one of the most under appreciated neutrals in the spectrum. It’s unbelievably versatile and can be worn in various shades all year round.

This multicolor scarf, which I’ve had for years, literally pulls the entire outfit together. It adds some dimension and even brings out the color of my suede booties.

Since the weather is on the milder side this week I opted for my go to quilted leather jacket. A pair of big sunnies and my gray tote complete the look.

For fun I chose a dark brown lip to break up all that gray. No ironing neccessary for today’s look, which is a win when you’re pressed for time. Here’s to a happy Thursday loves, go be great!

Quilted Wrap Skirt

Of all of the stores recently to hit center city Philadelphia, Uniqlo is my favorite. The Japanese company made it’s Philly debut in October 2014 and I immediately fell in love. This place is a dream for anyone who loves fall fashion or has anemia like myself.

All of the clothing is ready to wear and super comfy in these plumetting temperatures. Today’s warm ensemble is centered around this taupe wrap skirt. Fully lined with fleece and filled with stuffing, this skirt, although not long, is super warm.

The neutral color is versatile and can be worn many ways. I’ve decided to pair it with a chocolate top and matching knee boots. I added a silk scarf and a bowler bag to complete the look. The various textures and subtle colors make the neutral tones pop.

Neutrals

Hello loves!

This week has been very good to me thus far. I prepped my meals and outfits for the work in advance as well as my Instagram posts (follow me there as well @singprayshop) and it has paid off tremendously. I totally recommend prepping for the week and I can’t believe I haven’t done this sooner! More available time before my evening work shift begins means more time to explore the city and shoot in better sunlight. Today’s look is all about neutral shades of taupe, gray, tan, and wheat. I’ve made my favorite scarf, a glorious mixture of all the right neutrals, the centerpiece and finished off with this vintage derby. Here’s to bomb accessories, enjoy your weekend everyone!
